Charlotte County voters who requested a vote-by-mail ballot on Oct. 12 may have noticed a more than 10-day delay in receiving them.
According to the office of Charlotte County Supervisor of Elections, a vendor error resulted in a delay in getting out the ballots requested on that day. A preliminary investigation conducted by the supervisor of elections found 1,500ballots were affected.
