A message from our Charlotte Dems Chair on Hispanic Heritage Month

Please join me in celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month from September 15th to October 15th!

I am grateful for the immeasurable contributions of Hispanic Americans to Florida and Charlotte County. Part of what makes neighborhoods so special is diversity, and we wouldn’t have that today without our strong and vibrant Hispanic communities.

Charlotte County Democrats are proud to celebrate the heritage of Hispanic Americans and honor the achievements and contributions of many generations who have insured a rich and vibrant Florida. This month is an important reminder of the constant strength America draws from our immigrant roots and our values as a country of immigrants. Hispanic communities were devastatingly impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, showcasing the inequities in our society. We remain committed to electing Democrats that believe Florida cannot succeed unless Hispanic families and communities succeed.

This month we recommit ourselves to the principles of equity and opportunity, recognizing that without Hispanic Americans and their communities, our nation would not be where it is today.
