Be our Delegate at Dem’s 2020 National Convention

To All Congressional District (CD) #17 Registered Democrats:

If you would like to be elected as a Florida Delegate to the 2020 National Democratic Convention you must complete a 2020 “District Level Delegate Filing Form” and return it to the Florida Democratic Party (FDP) Headquarters in Tallahassee no later than Saturday, March 7, 2020 by 12:00 p.m. ET (noon). No exceptions! Filing is done directly with the FDP online or by mail. If you file online, call Tom Garner or Mary Clupper for further instructions.

This year’s Democratic Convention will be held the week of July 13th – 16th 2020 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Florida’s registered democratic voters will elect 143 “district-level delegates” on April 4th 2020 from Florida’s 27 congressional districts at designated congressional district voting caucus sites. The results of Florida’s March 17, 2020 Presidential Preference Primary (PPP) election will be used to apportion delegates to the national convention. Two Males and two Females will be elected as Florida Delegates from CD #17. CD #17 includes all of Hardee, DeSoto, Charlotte, Glades, Highlands and Okeechobee Counties along with portions of Polk, Lee and Sarasota Counties.

Feel free to print any of this information; 3) Review information as to CD #17 voting caucus locations, to determine which location is convenient for you. You can vote at any of the four (4) voting sites found inside CD #17 during the hours of 10:00 am until 2:00 pm; 4) Early Voting will be available on April 2nd. 2020 (Thursday) from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm at the North Port (Sarasota County) location only.
