TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) — Florida’s newly-elected Commissioner of Agriculture, Nikki Fried, is preparing for the start of next week’s Legislative Session.
Nearly 50 days into her first term in office, the lone Democrat elected to Florida’s Cabinet stopped by the WCTV studios on Monday.
Fried talked about her first weeks in office, and what’s on her agenda for the upcoming 2019 session, which begins on Tuesday, March 5.
Key items include hurricane relief, cannabis and medical marijuana and concealed weapons permits.
