Charlotte County Democrats care for the hungry and needy

In these difficult times, Charlotte County Democrats have again risen to relieve community hunger and need.

During the past few weeks, the Charlotte County Democrats have been collecting non-perishable food items and paper products to assist food pantries in Charlotte County during the Easter Holiday.   Donations have been extremely generous and members of the party and its Charlotte County Democratic Club (CCDC) have been busy delivering collected items to various churches and shelters to supplement pantry supplies.

This week we were able to help six local Food Banks at First Macedonia MB Church, First Presbyterian Church, Edgewater Church, CHAPS, Englewood Helping Hands and Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.  Democrats are ever mindful of community needs and are always anxious to aid in efforts to eliminate poverty and hunger.   As always, we are thankful to have such generous residents who heed the call to help.

The Charlotte County Democrats will continue to be a collection point for donations until our community need is mitigated.  Donate nonperishable food items, paper products, and personal hygiene items at the CCDC office located at 3596 Tamiami Trail, Suite 102, Port Charlotte, FL 39650.  The office is open from 10 am to Noon, Monday through Friday.    If you can’t do the shopping, we gladly accept donations and will do the shopping for you.  You may also donate at https://secure.actblue.com/donate/food2021.
