Precaution shuts Dems office. Volunteers work from home.

Charlotte County Democrats’ priority is the safety and well being of our volunteers and County residents. Adhering to recommendations regarding “social distancing,” the Charlotte County Democratic Party Headquarters located at 3596 Tamiami Trail, Port Charlotte, will be closed for the foreseeable future.

Our work on community outreach continues. From your home, you can reach out to other friendly Democrats to help boost voter turnout. Volunteers are needed to help with all aspects of our operations, especially now when we can reach more people at home via phone, email, text or social media. If you’d like to pitch in, please click the button below.

Experts advise that the best way to prevent a catastrophic explosion of cases in the near future is to break potential chains of transmission by preventing infected people from coming in close contact with healthy ones.  Our volunteer leaders will determine options for conducting meetings and events virtually or rescheduling. Please monitor our website and Facebook page for updates. Please visit our website, www.charlottedems.com, for information on re-opening our office. As always, we will work to support anyone who needs immediate assistance. Call us on 941-764-8440.

While the office remains closed, our office expenses and outreach efforts require ongoing funding. If you can, please consider helping with a financial donation.
