The budding presidential campaign of Florida Governor DeSantis is selling t-shirts with the slogan “Don’t Fauci My Florida.”
Our Governor apparently thinks he can make political points with the anti-vax wingnuts who continue to disparage Dr. Anthony Fauci, the esteemed Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases.
In the meantime, Florida saw nearly 24,000 new cases the week of July 9, more than twice as many as just two weeks earlier, according to data collected by Johns Hopkins University.
Is DeSantis behaving in a way that any responsible and thoughtful person might as they seek the highest office in the land?
I think not.
And I think we who care about our fellow Floridians should show Ron the door in 2022.
