Precinct Captain

Precinct Captains play a critical role in the success of the Democratic Party. They assist Democratic candidates, register Democrats to vote, and get out the Democratic vote during elections. Activities include door-to-door canvassing and literature drops, phone banks, mailings, and voter registration. There are 34 precincts in Charlotte County: please consider becoming a Precinct Captain. We always have a need for precinct captains.

The Charlotte County Democratic Club (CCDC) meets on the 2nd Saturday of the month from 10:00-12 noon. The CCDC is for people who want to be part of a liberal community. The Club sponsors fun activities and provides a social outlet in a safe environment with like-minded people. The Club also supports local charities and hosts educational speakers. Our members are encouraged to be activists for Democratic values and to enhance the face of the Democratic experience through outreach in a relaxed atmosphere. Join the club, you’ll be glad you did! The Englewood Democratic Club (EDC) meets on the 4th Wednesday of every month at 5:30 pm. Englewood is not incorporated as a city or town; it spans Sarasota County and Charlotte County. The EDC, chartered under the Sarasota Democratic Party, was formed to gather people across both counties to locally support environmental stewardship, accessible education, affordable healthcare, voting equity/good government policies, and a sustainable economy. We support Democratic Party principles and work to educated and inspire like-minded individuals to make a difference. For more information, please call:  (941) 500-3063  or email: englewooddemclub@gmail.com.  Like us on Facebook and visit our website at englewooddemclub.org where you will find our online membership form.
