Jake Burbach is our new community organizer.

Hi all, my name is Jake Burbach, I am a community organizer for the Florida Democratic Party, and I will be working in Charlotte County through the November elections. The purpose of my job is to recruit, train, and to continually mobilize volunteers. The FDP has taken notice of the energy, and passion for democratic principles in Charlotte County, and I am thrilled they sent me here! Our goal is to work with precinct leaders throughout the county to engage in meaningful conversations with our neighbors about the critical issues affecting them. We believe that by doing this, we can illustrate the importance of the midterm elections, and bring people out to the polls!

A little bit about myself – I grew up in a big family in rural Wisconsin. My father is a 5th-grade teacher, and my mother is a small business owner. I moved to Fort Myers in 2013 to attend Florida Gulf Coast University. I have my Bachelors degree in Communications, and I am currently working on the Masters in Public Administration/Public Policy. When I have free time, I enjoy cycling, spending time with my family, and traveling.
I’m looking forward to getting to know everyone, and working together to get Democrats elected this November!
