The Englewood Democrat Club is co-sponsoring an orderly and peaceful Earth Day demonstration of the phosphate mining issue in light of the Piney Point disaster, the effects of which are yet to be known. We are inviting all who want our waters to remain clean to join us on Thursday, April 22 between 5 -6 pm at the corner of Dearborn and Route 776.
Please bring signs that say things like urge the “EPA To Superfund All Florida Gypstacks”, “No More Phosphate Mining”, as well as signs mentioning any anti-protest bills or water bills in the Florida legislature that jeopardize our right to clean water.
