“Living The Dream On A Planet That’s Green” theme for Englewood Dem Club parade float

by Karn Cummingham, Englewood Democratic Club

The Englewood Democratic Club had planned to march in the Englewood Pioneer Days Parade, originally scheduled for last Labor Day. Those plans and the parade were blown away when Hurricane Dorian threatened our area.

Pioneer Day organizers vowed to continue the 63-year-old tradition and have rescheduled festivities and the parade for Saturday, Nov. 2. The Englewood Democratic Club will march in the parade.

EDC is busy rebuilding its float. Our theme is “Living the Dream On a Planet That’s Green” and the float features playful dolphins jumping out of the surf.

We are ready to join other Democrats from West Charlotte County and South Sarasota County in our goal of increasing Democratic turnout in the two Englewood counties. We would appreciate anyone who can march to join us and other Democrats. Or just watch and cheer us as we march in the Pioneer Days Parade.

The parade will assemble in the Englewood Shopping Center Parking Lot, 200 South Indiana Ave, Englewood, FL 34223. on November 2nd, (Saturday), 2019 at 3 PM. Anyone interested in marching with the EDC, please join us at our “Living the Dream On a Planet That’s Green” float.
