Local Labor mobilizes as US Supreme Court tackles landmark Case

This month the US Supreme Court will hear arguments in Janus v. AFSCME, a case that could decide whether government workers will be required to pay union dues. The decision pits “right to work” advocates against organized labor.

With that in mind, local unions are supporting a Working People’s Day of Action on February 24th. Events in Miami and Orlando on that day are designed to draw attention to the Supreme Court case. Busses will carry people from Charlotte County to participate in the rally in Miami’s Bayfront Park.
