Rick Scott’s non-starter on Term Limits

Something to Pay Attention to …

This is basically a good article on the subject of term limits, which Rick Scott is going to milk in his bid for the U.S. Senate. In the states that have adopted term limits on legislators (Florida, of course, included), the problem is that lobbyists and staff members are more powerful than legislators and write much of the legislation. Only a constitutional amendment could impose term limits on Congress, and that’s a nonstarter. The truth of the matter is that we already have term limits for legislators at all levels of government. They are called ELECTIONS! So, if you support “term limits”, go out and vote!
