The Democratic Women’s Club delivers holiday donations for moms in the County Schools Homeless Education Project

Every December, the Democratic Women’s Club (DWC) of Charlotte County collects holiday gift cards and gift bags for mothers with  children certified in the Charlotte County Schools Homeless Education Project.

Lucy Garner, DWC Second Vice-President coordinates the donations with the Homeless Education administration team, who in turn distribute the items to the mothers, respecting the privacy and dignity of the families.

DWC members gather and decorate the donations to help spread some holiday cheer to some individuals who clearly need assistance. This year Lucy Garner and Kay Blue, DWC President, delivered 20 gift cards and 17 gift bags.

Thanks to all who contributed to this wonderful program!
