Local Veterans Caucus Launch!

Every member of the Armed Services takes an oath promising to “…support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic.” It’s a pledge that is as important now as it was in the earliest days of our great nation.

The Charlotte County Democratic Party is assisting the formation of a local Chapter of the Democratic Veterans Caucus of Florida to encourage our local members of the Armed Forces, past and present, to provide leadership and support for fellow veterans and their families. Plus, we need your experience and energy to help us shape our platform.

Please join us at 1:00 PM on Saturday, May 26th, at the Charlotte County Democratic Party Headquarters, 3596 Tamiami Trail, Suite 202, Port Charlotte, FL 33952, for the kickoff planning meeting of the Veterans Caucus. Make no mistake, YOU will set the agenda for the Caucus. You will meet fellow veterans who are already active in the local Democratic Party. And we hope to broaden our membership to veterans who might not be registered Democrats, but who want to have their voices heard.

Together, we can hold Washington and Tallahassee officials to account. And we can ensure that they honor the promise to support and defend.
