Volunteers are the Backbone of our Democracy

Submitted by: Teresa Jenkins 5/21/20

Volunteers are the backbone of our democracy. Volunteers help organize precincts, ensure voters know who’s on the ballot, where to vote, and how to vote by mail. In the face of growing inequity, we must build strong, grassroots initiatives that will help elect Democrats up and down the ballot.

And, we need your help to do it.

We have a created an easy way to Get Involved with the Charlotte County Democratic Party! There are so many ways to help.

  • Join our digital media communications team.
  • Make phone calls.
  • Send Texts.
  • Become a Precinct Leader to mobilize friends and neighbors to elect Democrats.
  • Write Letters.
  • Help ensure the integrity of our elections.

Volunteers win elections. There is no action too small for our big dreams. Volunteers help us make an even greater future for our country, our state and our county.

As we stay home to protect ourselves and our neighbors from COVID-19, it’s more important than ever to talk to voters about what’s at stake for democracy and our country in this year’s election.

This is your invitation to join our team!

Thanks for all that you do.
