Dear fellow Democrats,
Hope is the antidote to despair. Hope is not blind optimism, nor is it pie-in-the-sky dreaming. Hope is a muscle that needs exercise just like any other. As our former chair Patrick Hurley used to say, “Change takes action.” As we enter the somewhat shorter and darker (after all, we do live in the Sunshine State!) days of December, I’d like to wish you all a restorative and joyful holiday season.
We have lots to do next year. We are the resistance, the alternative, we are the party of peace and hope, and we are ready to take on the challenges ahead!
