Environmental Caucus will host International Clean-up at Englewood Beach

Join the Charlotte County Democratic Environmental Caucus in supporting the International Coastal Clean-Up 2020. Our area is Beach Road in Englewood, FL, from the drawbridge towards the Roundabout on Manasota Key, spacing as we go. “Keep Charlotte Beautiful” is providing buckets, tools, and some T-shirts. We recommend dressing appropriately, closed-toe shoes, bring your OWN reusable water bottle, bring gloves, masks, your own tools if you have grabbers, candidate t-shirts or paraphernalia.

The Beach Rd Clean-Up will be Friday, Aug. 14 from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm. We will meet at the Chadwick Pavilion. We will observe Covid-19 guidelines including wearing face masks and maintaining social distancing.

We suggest you bring a beach chair or blanket and BYOB (no glass) as we gather on the beach after the cleanup.  Your car should be parked in the Beach PAY lot, right by the beach.  Work hard, play hard.  We hope to have socially distant snacks.  Feel free to bring your political signs

We have invited local Democratic candidates to join us. The candidates are David Jones, running for Florida House District 75; and Allen Ellison, running for U. S. Congressional District 17; and Katherine Norman, Florida Senate District 23.
